Scott Weiland, former singer of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, was currently on tour with his band Scott Weiland and The Wildabouts and was unfortunately found dead on his tour bus on a stop in Bloomington, Minnesota.
While Scott wasn’t primarily a bassist, he was the voice behind some well loved songs that will continue to be enjoyed for years to come.
The official statement from his official Facebook page reads as follows:
“Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected.”
