I didn’t expect to be writing another post like this so soon, but it is with great sadness to announce that David Bowie has passed away after an 18 month battle with cancer, just days after his 69th birthday.
While he wasn’t primarily a bassist, David Bowie helped shape rock and pop through the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with such hits as “Space Oddity”, “Life On Mars” and “Starman” (to name just a few).
Bowie had also celebrated his birthday with the release of his album “Blackstar”, the 25th studio release since his debut back in 1967.
