January saw big progress at The Bass Diaries, with the launch of the Midweek Mastery beginner series, 23 new sheet music transcriptions published, and the milestone of my 100th transcription reached. Website traffic more than doubled compared with December, with visitors arriving from nearly 40 countries, and support continues to grow worldwide as we head into February with even more consistent bass content on the way.

January 2026 marks 13 years of The Bass Diaries. What started with a late New Year’s Day recovery and a Metallica “Enter Sandman” cover in January 2013 has grown into a long-running bass project built on learning, sharing, and a genuine love for the instrument. This monthly update looks back at December’s sheet music releases and sales, celebrates key milestones, and looks ahead to what’s coming next for the site and community.
