We seem to be entering an unfortunate era of music legends passing away this year. On January 18th, Glenn Frey, best known for playing guitar and singing for the Eagles, passed away at the age of 67 following complications with  rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, while recovering from intestinal surgery.

Whilst Glenn was not primarily a bassist, as a founding member of the Eagles he helped write hit songs such as Hotel California, Take It Easy and Tequila Sunrise that are still listened to and enjoyed by many today. After the band split in 1980, he went on to have a successful solo career, even contributing songs to soundtracks such as Miami Vice and Ghostbusters II.

Rest In Peace
