So, here’s the thing…I broke my computer…D’OH!
Thankfully it wasn’t damaged too badly, but it’s still broken nonetheless. A new motherboard is on it’s way and I should have normal business resuming by the end of the month.
In the meantime, I have changed my bass strings, given the old girl a clean up and started filming some more content for the site/YouTube!
So far in the works, there are normal cover videos and tutorial videos for the following songs (I’ve included links to the tab pages already posted below):
Clutch – 50,000 Unstoppable Watts
Clutch – The Mob Goes Wild
Kiiara – Messy
KISS – Lick It Up
Nirvana – Breed
The All-American Rejects – Swing, Swing
The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army
Obviously they are nowhere near ready yet due to the fact I can’t get on my PC to edit them together, but these will most likely be appearing on your screens from June time (just in time for my 29th trip around the sun celebrations).
When the new content hits, I will likely look to re-brand the channel with an updated logo, new intro video to all new videos etc. Who knows, I may even look at doing update videos to compliment these posts in future. We shall see…or maybe YOU shall see…
I will also look at updating the format in which tabs, videos etc are posted here on the website, creating a “one stop shop” for each song, i.e. you click on Linkin Park – What I’ve Done and from here you get access to the song information, the tab, the cover and the tutorial video, just to make it easier for everyone to have access to all the content in one place.
Once I’ve got back in the swing of things, I might start re-recording some of my older videos too and retire the old ones to the archive, so enjoy those ones while they’re still up in their old format.
In terms of numbers, I’ve been doing a bit of promotion around the YouTube channel to get ready for the new content that’s incoming and now stand close to 100 subscribers! Welcome aboard everyone. On the Ultimate Guitar front, my tabs are still pulling in around 500-600 views a week consistently now, meaning my total views has gone over 43,000 now!
That’s enough rambling from me for now. Back to practising and recording.
As with the last update, stay safe everyone. We are in strange times right now and we all need each other to do the right thing and stay indoors to help save lives. Pick up that bass and play away.
Until next time, keep on keeping on!
