Alice In Chains emerged from Seattle’s late-80s heavy rock scene and became one of the defining forces of the grunge era — blending thick, dark guitar tones, soaring vocal harmonies, and bass lines that hit like a freight train.
Mike Starr (early years) and Mike Inez (from 1993 onward) shaped the band’s signature low-end:
